No is a favourite word
To end the endless conversation,
To shut the door on the salesman,
The panhandler,
The boyfriend,
The friend.
We say no to change,
And no to adventure;
No to love,
To faith,
To understanding,
Empathy,
Frailty.
Possibilities end
Before ever they begin.
No is a universe
Populated by one.

Absolutely fantastic poem!!! I especially like the last two lines..”No is a universe, populated by one”. Super….very strong and powerful message here!

I’m saying No to WordPress’ ridiculous new system.
A fine poem.

I sent them a rather irate tweet (as irate as one can be in 140 characters) and they sent me a direct link to the old system, which I’ve duly saved and use. Rascals.

We have to use the little no word on ocasions or our universe could become overpopulated, don’t you think?

True, indeed, Linda! There are surely times when NO is exactly the proper weird!! LOL! 🙂
