“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
-Lauren DeStefano, Wither
Well, after a night and half a morning of drenching rain, our earth has been washed clean just in time for the sun to shine! For those of you living in Buckinghamshire, that crazy lady pulling her car over on single track lanes to snap pictures was me. You know the car – white, covered with mud… accompanied by a madwoman in shiny black Hunters and a pencil skirt climbing into and out of hedgerows. braving barbed wire and several inches of black mud. I am taking advantage of one of the perks of old age, actually: The right to eccentricity.
Here’s to autumn madness, and no apologies!
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone… aren’t Fridays just the best?

Oh I’m glad you like these snaps! There is so much more to see, I just can’t take it all in, actually. This is our most golden autumn ever. As for now you missed it, well, things get BURIED on that reader! Happens to me all the time… parts 2 and 3 of my series Crazy are no doubt buried under 150 weekend posts… but I hate leaving a good friend with nothing but a cliffhanger. 🙂 Finally finished it! xx MH
